As part of our ongoing efforts to strengthen the Hong Kong Outdoor Learning Association (HKOLA), we are pleased to announce updates to our Articles of Association. These foundational governing documents outline the rules and procedures that guide the operation and management of our non-profit organisation.
Articles of Association are critical for the good governance of any NGO. They define the rights and responsibilities of members; the structure and duties of the leadership team and the processes for key organisational decisions and actions.
Regularly reviewing and refining these articles helps ensure HKOLA is operating transparently and effectively to serve our mission and members.
Some of the key updates to HKOLA's articles include:
Clarification of member categories and voting rights to better represent our outdoor learning community’s goals
Adjustments to the size, term limits and election procedures of the Steering Committee to support fresh perspectives and continuity
You can find more details about these changes in the below infographic (part of a series of infographics on HKOLA’s work). As always, please don't hesitate to reach out to the Steering Committee at info@hkoutdoorlearning.org if you have any questions or feedback.
These updates demonstrate HKOLA's commitment to good governance and our responsiveness to the evolving needs of our members and the outdoor learning field. We're excited about the positive impacts these changes will have as we continue to strengthen and grow our Association.
